*I’ve assigned posts to a couple of different Categories you can find them on the side. Will be coming up with a web address soon to direct to this blog, any suggestions would be great.
CATCHING UP: Boy o boy lots of new adventures since my last post which seems like an eternity ago, but really only 2 months ago.
Finished my first triathlon in Long Branch, NJ. Tri was called “War at the Shores”. Finished with a time of 1:13:39 overall! Better than the 1:30:00 that I thought I would time at. 62 out of 102 men. 1/4mi swim, 11mi bike, 5k run. My swim was 7:07. Bike was 38:17. Run was 25:53. T1: 1:53. T2: 0:28. Biking was my weakest discipline. I was holding back a bit bc I’ve never done all 3 disciplines at once and wasn’t sure if I would have enough in my tank. But the run was faster than I anticipated, I had a lot more energy left at finish. I could’ve definitely pushed it on the bike.
Onto my next tri! Next one is on Aug 30 at Egg Harbor, NJ. 1/4 swim, 13mi bike, 5k run.
Weight Gain: I’ve lost 6lbs! Complete opposite of why I started this blog. Well I was trying to lose weight in anticipation of my first triathlon, hoping to be more aerodynamic and hydrodynamic. Now that I’ve completed my first triathlon I don’t mind gaining back some muscle. More muscle to me just means better strength for everyday activities.
To help me get back on track I’ve rejoined the #yorhealth 8 week best body contest.
GOAL: gain 5lbs, get from 155lbs to 160lbs. Lean out
Regimen will be as follows.
Tues: Tri Training: Swim 800m, Bike 15mi
Thurs: Tri Training: Bike 15mi, Run 5k
Sat: Tri Training: Swim 1mi
Sun: rest day
Had some free evenings so started taking classes Wed nights and Sunday mornings for Real Estate Investing (REI), no I am not going to be a Realtor, that is completely different. Follow along as I learn from one of the best in the industry on how to hedge against inflation, capitalize on location/timing, and build equity. More to come on this later on.
